5 years and counting

This weekend was our 5th anniversary, wedding that is, we have been together for almost 9, so crazy for what Brian reminds me was a summer fling. So we started the weekend w/ an attempt at apps and drinks at one of our favorite restaurants. Those of you with kids will understand when we say that Jeffrey was a pain in the A*!$ and we left early. Mind you we had gone at 5 PM in hope that we would have our normally plesant baby join us for the evening. He had been at day care b/c I was at a training in Portland and he only had one nap, mind you he often has only one as he is in the midst of transitioning from one to two, but this was a one nap day and boy did he show it, fussy, throwing food, gabbing for our glasses, screaming, insisting on being held rather than in the high chair only to grab the curtains and plants behind me. We would have considered a baby sitter but we have a dinner with friends this co ming week and to be honest they really increase the hassel and price of an eveningout.
To be fair I think in an effort to make it up to us he was able to sleep til 8:30, somewhat of a record for the little man.
And sunday it was a visit back to Edgefield (this is where we got hitched) where we have gone (all but the year we were in france) for our anniversary each year, Jeffrey joined us again but this time it was for bruch-the little man was fussy but a bit better behaved.
Here are some photos of us walking around. Note the heigt of Jeffrey w/ mommy compaired to the photo with him walking with daddy in a previous post.

Congrats!!! We have had our fair share of crappy evenings out lately too! It's something about them developing a mind of their own...and that mind says "I don't want to sit here ANYMORE!!!!!"
p.s.- where's all the pretty flowers this year?
