long time no see

So its been a long time, but here are random pics of the last few months, us camping-JH loved the water til he saw a craw fish then he was wearry, a trip to coast, Thomas getting his water legs in Hawaii, Jeffrey learning to count-with beer caps, and Thomas with his obsession the lawn mower

1st camping trip

we just returned from our first post kids camping trip and had a wonderful time. The kids were great, had great comments on all sorts of things, Jeffrey just had the theme of camping at school for a week (they have weekly themes) and apparently forest fire safety was the theme b.c he was very worried about us being allowed to have a camp fire. Thomas loved the water and despite his blue lips and teeth chattering didnt understand why we pulled him out of the water, he also seems to have some great hiking potential, even with his little legs he did a great job keeping up. Jeffrey made up all kinds of games inc magic shows, Brian is shown doing one of the Dances that Jeffrey had his 'volunteers' do.

its been a long time, what can I say, 2 little ones and life have been keeping us busy, so here are a variety of recent shots.

Aunti Susan just left after a weekends stop over, it was her 1st time meeting either of the boys and they both worked hard to charm this aunti from far away who is always sending wonderful books. We hit OMSI the local science museum and had a great time.

a post finally, we are still around

Jeffrey and Brian did a trip to the snow a few weeks ago, they had a great time with their friends, the mtn and the snow.

Im actually making 2 posts in one week, amazing, but Jeffrey and our friends the litchfields went on a local version of the polar express. he had so much fun I had to make a posting.

Happy Holidays

Happy Thanksgiving. We had a wonderful holiday. It started with Beck coming up and watching the kids for our 1st night away since thomas was born. We have continued to enjoy her company and had our annual holiday dinner with the Peters family, the last photo is their son with Jeffrey. Although thomas never went for his halloween costume he did decide he liked wearing jeffreys which is now in the dress up drawer. And as you can see in the 1st photo the boys love being together (most of the time)

so not sur eif you can see it, but thomas in the shot where they are watching brian work on a project is wearing the cutest onsie I have seen yet, the front has the logo for the cheers bar, the back says 'I dont even know my name' Dennis brought it back from Boston, isnt it great

my wild thing

Jeffrey selected costume ideas for he and thomas this year.
Thomas refused to wear his but he too was a creature from where the wild things are. Jeffrey was great helping me to sew, aka being the model and not being scared about the pins as I sized it and giving advice on horn placement.
he had a great time at the school parade and greeting trick o treaters
this is turning into one of his top holidays and I have to say I love taking his ideas and turning them into costumes.

jeffrey comments- disapointed in his parents/growing up

B: "Yes Jeffrey"
J: "Im mad daddy, do you see my face" (said with a gruff voice in response to not getting desired food until dinner was eaten)

J: "you are not my best friend anymore mommy"
A: "Im sorry to hear that Jeffrey you still need to do as mommy asks, mommys job is not to be your friend but your mommy"
J: "Im disapointed mommy, Thomas is now my best friend and you are not"

relayed said story to brian when he got home, he promptly gave me a high five with the satement "welcome to parenthood"

bonding brothers

the boys have been having fun as thomas gets older and is better able to join in the play. We got bunk beds from Grandpa Dennis and just put them together, Jeffrey had his first night of sleep last night and loved it. We hope to get thomas in the same room soon, Jeffrey cant wait and doesnt quiet understand why we want Thomas sleeping thru the night first, 'Ill settle him and take care of him whenhe wakes up', he even tried to show us how hell do it.
The also finger painted together for the 1st time this week, we had a few nice sunny days and they went to town out on the deck.

HAPPY 1st Birthday T-Bird!!!

We can't believe that it has been a full year but our little bird has turned 1. He is starting to walk and got his first pair of real shoes from grandma Jane on Friday. We are having the super fiesta later today and will post some Pict's of the day later on.
